This article is about motherhood being unrelentless.
Some days you are super mum, and other days you can barely get yourself out of bed.
There are some days where motherhood feels unrelentless and unforgiving. You deeply love your children, however, sometimes you feel like you are letting them down in every way possible. The demands of the day seem never ending, and some days you simply have no time to even sit down.
You go from breakfast, to snack time, to lunch, to dinner, to cleaning up, to bath time and bedtime.
You’re barely able to speak when you reach the end of the day.
Some days you feel like you have barely made a difference as their mother.
The brutal reality of motherhood is that it can be all consuming with never ending lists, appointments, cleaning, cooking and organising.
Sometimes you want to savour special moments with your children whilst they are young, however, it feels like you are on a constant conveyor belt. Sometimes it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
But your children simply see this as their childhood, and they see you as their home.
They know that you will always be there for them. They know that mummy will be the one feeding them, she will be helping them, she will be washing them, and she will be putting them to bed. You are their home, and they can be fully themselves around you.
So, yes, it is non-stop and unrelentless as a mother, but it is also accompanied by non-stop unconditional love from your little ones.
